Transport improvement by connecting tourist spots in Kumari: NTK Promise
Nagercoil, Feb 12: In their election manifesto, the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) has announced that transportation will be upgraded by connecting all tourist spots in Kanyakumari. Maria Jennifer, the NTK candidate for the Kanyakumari assembly constituency, stated in a press release that Kanyakumari is rich in natural beauty and historical monuments, but previous representatives lacked the vision to integrate them into a world-class tourism infrastructure.
She noted that existing infrastructure is in poor condition and transport links between sites are insufficient. There are untapped opportunities in adventure tourism (forests, mountains, surfing), spiritual tourism (temples), and educational tourism (historical sites). By properly utilizing these and improving basic amenities like sanitation and parking, she promises to create economic growth for locals under the 'Dream Kanyakumari' initiative. She urged voters to support NTK to realize this development which includes enhancing the participation of local people in the tourism sector.
