In Kanyakumari, it is reported that mini buses frequently deviate from their route between the Kanyakumari Roundana junction and Sunset Point. Auto drivers have been complaining that their profession and livelihood are being affected because of this. Under these circumstances, they engaged in a sudden strike today. A large number of auto drivers participated in this protest, demanding that mini buses be prohibited from deviating from their routes. Due to the strike, passengers in Kanyakumari were affected by the lack of auto services. The protesting auto drivers left to meet the Kanyakumari District Collector in person to submit a petition regarding this matter.
