During her speech, she stated that she would take steps to develop land-based sectors such as agriculture and fishing through technology to generate employment and business opportunities. She referred to a public interest litigation filed in the Madurai High Court regarding Kanyakumari fishermen stranded in Iran due to war, noting that the central government has informed the court that rescue operations would begin on March 14. She expressed concern that the lack of industrial growth in the district forces many to seek low-paying or risky jobs abroad, leading to fractured families. She promised that the NTK policy focuses on ensuring quality free education, suitable jobs, and fair wages within their own land so that the youth do not have to depend on other states or countries.
