Palmyra Palm Seeds Planting Ceremony
Nagercoil, Oct 4: On the occasion of Kamarajar's memorial day, a palmyra palm seed planting ceremony was held on behalf of the Naam Tamilar Katchi. To mark Kamarajar's 50th memorial anniversary, 50 palmyra seeds were collected and planted in the Agastheeswaram East and West district areas under the Kanyakumari legislative assembly constituency. The event was led by the Naam Tamilar State Coordinator Deepan Solomon, with State Women's Wing Coordinator Maria Jennifer presiding. Other key participants included Zonal Secretary Sundaresan, Agastheeswaram West District President Arul, and East District Secretary Michael Edilbert. Seeds were planted in coastal areas of Rasthakadu under Anjugramam Town Panchayat, and around the banks of Parakkai Lake in Thengamputhur. Several other party functionaries and representatives from the Palmyra Protection Movement also participated in the event.
