NTK Members Protest in Rain Demanding Removal of Marungur TASMAC Shop

Nagercoil, Nov 25: Members of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) engaged in a protest amidst heavy rainfall, demanding the removal of a TASMAC liquor outlet in Marungur. The protest took place at the Marungur Vepalu junction on the road leading to Amaravathivilai, where the shop is reportedly causing significant disturbance to the general public.

The demonstration was led by State Coordinator Deepasalam. State Women's Wing Coordinator Maria Jennifer attended as a special guest. The event was organized by Marungur town panchayat secretaries Marcus and Martin. Notable participants included State Women's Wing Secretary and Marungur Ward Councilor Jameela, along with numerous party executives.

Addressing the gathering, Deepasalam stated, "They claim the TASMAC shop is within regulations. Even if it is within limits, it must be removed if it affects the public. Do not think you can deceive the people; they are watching everything. During election time, they will show you the way home. Our protest is not for votes, but for the people. NTK will be the first to stand up if people are affected."
