Kunjun Nadar Memorial Day Observed; Naam Tamilar Katchi Members Pay Garland Tribute

Thuckalay, Aug 20: On the occasion of Kunjun Nadar's memorial day, members of the Naam Tamilar Katchi paid their respects by garlanding his statue in Thuckalay. Kunjun Nadar was one of the key leaders who protected the Kumari soil. He fought for Tamil rights by joining the Travancore Tamil Nadu Congress. During the time when leaders like Marshal Nesamony were imprisoned, he stood at the forefront of the Tamil liberation struggle and led continuous protests. He notably led the Tamil Liberation Day procession on the significant date of August 11, 1954, during the Travancore struggle. His memorial day was observed yesterday. To mark this, Naam Tamilar Katchi members gathered at his statue in Thuckalay and offered garland tributes. The event was attended by many, including Women's Wing Coordinator Maria Jennifer, State Coordinator Deepak Solomon, Padmanabhapuram Constituency Candidate Seelan, Colachel Constituency Candidate Ancy Shoba Rani, and Colachel Council Secretary Sujith.
