On the occasion of the 50th memorial day of Perunthalaivar Kamaraj, Maria Jennifer, the State Women's Wing Coordinator of Naam Tamilar Katchi, led a palm tree seed planting initiative in the Kanyakumari assembly constituency. A total of 50 palm seeds were planted in several areas including the Rasthakadu coastal region under Agastheeswaram East District Anjugramam Town Panchayat, as well as the lakeside areas of Thengamputhur Parakkaikulam in Agastheeswaram West District.

Speaking at the event, she quoted that while the sower may sleep, the seeds never do, emphasizing that Kamaraj's thoughts and dreams have been sown as quality seeds in the political landscape of Tamil Nadu. She stated they are waiting for the day these seeds sprout into a revolutionary political change and pledged to continue working towards that goal. Finally, thanks were expressed on behalf of the Palm Tree Protection Movement to the Kanyakumari regional administration and the members of Naam Tamilar Katchi who participated in coordinating the event.
