I will transform government hospitals into centers of trust
On behalf of the Naam Tamilar Katchi, candidate Maria Jennifer conducted a door-to-door campaign in areas including Puthukkigramam, T.C. Nagar, and Lions Nagar within the Kanyakumari assembly constituency. During her campaign, she distributed pamphlets outlining the party's electoral promises and addressed the public. Jennifer pointed out significant deficiencies in the medical infrastructure of Kanyakumari, asserting that even basic facilities are lacking in government hospitals and primary health centers. She responded to claims made by AIADMK's Thalavai Sundaram regarding previous improvements, questioning whether the hospitals upgraded 15 years ago still maintain those standards. She highlighted issues like the Thadikkaraikonam primary health center lacking proper infrastructure, X-ray facilities, and ambulance services, forcing patients to seek expensive private care. Jennifer concluded by promising that if elected as an MLA, she would ensure consistent funding for medical infrastructure and transform government hospitals into centers of trust for every citizen.
