I am an Uncompromising and Clean Politician - NTK Candidate Maria Jennifer's Emotional Speech

In an emotional address, Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) candidate Maria Jennifer stated that she has functioned as an uncompromising and clean politician in all her activities and struggles for the people. Speaking about her field work, she noted that she has raised her voice for all issues affecting the people of the Kanyakumari constituency over the past two years, whether through direct ground protests or legal battles.

She highlighted several successful interventions, including protests for farmers' paddy procurement, rubber plantation workers' rights, the protection of the fishing industry, land rights for indigenous people, and the safety of roadside vendors and auto drivers. She specifically mentioned legal victories such as the permanent closure of a TASMAC shop in Marungur and obtaining punishment for those involved in irregularities in the Suchindram Temple pond renovation.

Jennifer also mentioned her involvement in the legal fight that led the Union Government to announce the rescue of Kumari fishermen trapped in Iran. She stated that her social and political actions have always been for the common good, such as the removal of a dangerous iron bridge in Manakudy. She is campaigning with a 'Dream Kanyakumari' action plan and urged the voters to elect her under the 'Farmer' symbol (Serial No. 3) to bring about a real change based on vision and work, rather than identity politics.
