Government Model Schools with Modern Facilities: NTK Candidate Maria Jennifer Assures
Maria Jennifer, the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) candidate for the Kanniyakumari Assembly constituency, conducted a door-to-door campaign seeking votes. Speaking to the public, she expressed concern over the declining enrollment in government schools in Tamil Nadu, attributing it to poor infrastructure and a lack of modern facilities compared to private institutions. She promised that if elected, she would utilize 50% of the MLA Constituency Development Fund to improve school infrastructure, ensuring it goes beyond just classrooms to include auditoriums and innovative projects. She emphasized providing free, high-quality education from primary to research levels and promised to establish new government schools based on demand, equipped with vocational training, research facilities, and guidance programs to reduce the financial burden on parents.
