Kanyakumari, Oct 14: Maria Jennifer, the State Coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi Women's Wing, participated as a special guest and delivered a congratulatory address at the inaugural ceremony of an association aimed at the professional safety and development of beauticians. During the event, she stated that achieving economic self-sufficiency for women and ensuring they receive opportunities as entrepreneurs are vital milestones at both individual and societal levels. She welcomed the formation of associations to integrate unorganized sectors like the beauty industry for their collective development. Furthermore, she lauded Krishnaveni, who was elected as the President of Thazhaiyuthu Panchayat in Tirunelveli district during the 2006 local body elections, noting her exemplary work for regional development and describing her as a role model for all women striving for social change.
