Caste politics will impact the next generation: NTK candidate Maria Jennifer warns
Maria Jennifer, the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) candidate for the Kanyakumari Legislative Assembly constituency, conducted a vehicle campaign starting from Aralvaimozhi and passing through Kannanputhur, Senbagaraman Puthoor, Azhagiyapandiyapuram, Thadikarankonam, Ettamadai, Agastheeswaram, Samadhanapuram, and Thittuvilai, concluding at Kovalam. During her speech at Thittuvilai, she emphasized that Christians and Muslims who chose their religions are part of the Tamil national majority. She urged unity among Tamils to avoid falling into the political traps of Dravidian parties that isolate minorities or religious nationalist parties that incite hatred. She criticized the police and government for the rise in drug addiction among youth in Aralvaimozhi and noted that even educated youth in Agastheeswaram are forced into daily wage labor. She highlighted that caste politics would destroy the future of the youth and stressed the importance of traditional industries like fishing in Kovalam. She concluded by stating that the public's awareness ensures their victory.
